On the way to site

An amazing View heading into DeGrussa

Noble Consulting Surveyors were recently contracted by Watpac Civil & Mining to provide the Engineering Survey Services for the construction of the Tailings Storage Dam at the DeGrussa Copper –Gold mine, located 150km North of Meekatharra in Western Australia.

While the project is still a few weeks away from completion, we are pleased to announce that Watpac has once again found our service to be of benefit to their operations and we look forward to continuing our well established relationship in Western Australia by providing Engineering & Construction Surveys of the highest possible standard. When asked by our team on how he found our service Project Manager Mr Jake Preston said that he was “very happy with the results”, and the feedback from the rest of the team has been to a similar tune. Thanks to Matthew Clarke, Sandy Koch, Corin Heath and Mike Savage for being a pleasure to work with and your outstanding professionalism.

The task required of Noble Consulting Surveyors for this project was of a varied scope, from measuring the existing surface, amending design parameters, calculating quantities and providing as-constructed documents.

These concrete slabs are usually over 1m deep, with the bolts extending into them 0.5m on average. The structures to be secured are usually constructed of pre-fabricated steel, with no margin for error at the point where they meet the bolts. Continue reading
